Since Christmas, the pupils at Ysgol Rhyd y Llan continued to work remotely, but it was with great pleasure to welcome them all back to school site on March 17. Everyone had missed each other and excited to see their friends face to face.
One of the first activities for us as a whole School was to take part in raising money for Comic Relief. Everyone came to School on that Friday wearing red or with 'funny hairstyles', £91 was collected and we thank everyone who contributed.
There is little opportunity to compete in a normal Eisteddfod this year, but Lliwen Davies and Cerys Wheldon Williams have taken part in the William Mathias Virtual Eisteddfod, well done for keeping the tradition of competition going!
We are extremely lucky of our volunteers, and our thanks goes to Alis Boulderstone’s grandfather, Mr. Emyr Jones for taking the time to plant trees on the School grounds.
We have also been doing some work behind the scenes with a company called ‘Delwedd’ and we now have a new school website. We are happy to announce that the website is now live and that useful information will be uploaded regularly. If you are interested, pop over to www.ysgolrhydyllan.cymru to have a look.
